14. We believe in the eternal state. PDF Print E-mail

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men. The believer will be resurrected to eternal life, and the unbeliever to eternal judgment. At death the spirits of believers pass immediately into Christ's presence and remain there in conscious bliss until the resurrection of the glorified body when Christ comes for His own, whereupon the spirit and body reunite and remain with Him forever in glory. However, the spirits of the unbelieving remain after death conscious of condemnation and misery in hell until the final judgment of the great white throne at the close of the millennium, when the spirit and body of unbelievers reunite to be cast into the lake of fire, not annihilation. Thus unbelievers will be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power (Matt 25:46; Luke 16:19-26; John 5:28-29; 11:25-26; 2 Cor 5:8; Phil 1:23; 2 Thess 1:7-9; Jude 6-7; Rev 20:11-15).

15. We believe in the person of Satan. PDF Print E-mail

We believe that Satan is a person, the author of sin and the cause of the fall of man. He is the declared enemy of God and man; he and his fallen angels shall be eternally punished in the lake of Fire (Gen 3:1-15; Job 1:6-7; Isa 14:12-17; Ezek 28:11-19; Matt 4:2-11; 25:41; Rev 20:10).

16. We believe in angels, unfallen and fallen. PDF Print E-mail

We believe God created an innumerable company of sinless, spiritual beings, known as angels. One of them known as "Lucifer," meaning "son of the morning," who seems to have possessed the highest in rank of any angel in heaven, sinned through pride, thereby becoming Satan (adversary). One third of the angels followed him and are his active agents in accomplishing Satan's unholy purposes. Some of those angels that fell committed a specific sin in Genesis 6 and were "reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment day" (Isa 14:12-17; Ezek 28:11-19; 1 Tim 3:6; 2 Pet 2:4; Jude 6; Rev 12:4).

We believe that Satan is the originator of sin, and that under the permission of God, he, through subtlety, led our first parents into transgression, thereby, accomplishing their moral fall and subjecting them and their posterity to sin. Satan is the number one enemy of God and His people, opposing and exalting himself above God. Satan at the beginning said, "I will be like the most High." He appears as an angel of light, even counterfeiting the works of God by fostering religious movements and systems of doctrine, which systems in every case are characterized by denial of efficacy of the blood of Christ and of salvation by grace alone (Gen 3:1-15; Rom 5:12-14; 2 Cor 4:3-4; 11:13-15; Eph 6:10-12; 2 Thess 2:4; 1 Tim 4:1-3).

Satan was judged at the cross, though not bound yet. He is a usurper and presently rules as "a god of this world." At Christ's second coming Satan will be bound and cast into the abyss for a thousand years, and after the thousand years he will be released for a little season and then "cast into the lake of fire and brimstone," where he "will be tormented day and night for ever and ever" (Col 2:15; Rev 20:1-3, 10).

Great companies of angels kept their holy estate and are before the throne of God, from whence they are sent forth as ministering spirits to minister for them who will inherit salvation (Luke 15:10; Eph 1:21; Heb 1:14; Rev 7:12)

Man was made lower than the angels. At Christ's incarnation, He took on humanity that He might die and regain what was lost at paradise. As a result of this he lifts believers to His own sphere above the angels, not to deity but to a higher level of creation.

17. We believe in creation. PDF Print E-mail

We believe that God created the world in six literal 24-hour periods. We reject evolution, the Gap-theory, the Re-Creation theory, and theistic evolution as unscriptural theories of origin. Not that these theories are heretical (except "evolution") but unable to be validated with solid exegesis (Gen 1-2; Exod 20:11).

18. We believe in civil government. PDF Print E-mail

Wednesday, 13 May 2009 10:21

We believe that God has ordained and created all authority consisting of three basic institutions: home, church, and state. Every person is subject to these authorities, in the home to the father, in church to the elders and in the government to the authorities appointed. However, all of these authorities are answerable to God. God has given each institution specific biblical responsibilities and balanced those responsibilities with the understanding that no institution has the right to infringe upon the other. The home, the church, and the state are equal and sovereign in their respective biblical assigned spheres of responsibility under God (Rom 13:1-7; Eph 5:22-24; Heb 13:4).

Ariel returns from Starkville, Mississippi after a tremendous evangelism outreach illusion show!

Not only did we do three illusion shows with a message Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 6-8), but I also spoke and did various illusions in two chapels with small children and high school students where I also shared God's message of grace and salvation.

I was also invited to speak at a men's meeting where pastors, leaders and men from the community attend. After a wonderful Asian lunch I did an illusion and shared (from John 8:30-33) regarding the distinction between how one is freed from the penalty of sin by simply believing in Jesus and how one can continue to experience that freedom by "abiding" (following) Jesus everyday in discipleship.

Furthermore, I was also invited to be on WCBI a CBS local affiliate of Starkville, MS (click here for a photo gallery - part of that which was taken by one of the camera men—as a favor to me—with my i-phone).

I also taught at Emmanuel Baptist Church Sunday school (by having a Q & A time) preached in worship service.

Thanks for your prayers. Please consider supporting our ministry and partner with us (click here).

(click here for a photo gallery) We're planning for the next shows already. If you have a church that would like to have us come and do an illusion show/program outreach let us know.

Listen to Dr. López's Latest Message

Friends and family, I was a guest speaker at the mega-church Christ the Rock Community Church. I spoke four times in two days over the weekend. For those of you interested and would like to hear the half-hour message, see below. May the Lord speak to you through this message.

God Is Able by Dr. René López

Jesus Family Tomb Examined

Only $9.99!

Those who enjoy reading mysteries will enjoy this book’s exposure of the real conspiracy involved in Cameron’s “documentary.”

—Craig S. Keener, Ph.D.,

Author of countless books, and

Professor of New Testament

Palmer Seminary

René López gives the Jesus family tomb theory the thorough debunking it so richly deserves. He points out countless errors and lapses in logic on the part Simcha Jacobovici and his associates, who have foisted on a naive public and gullible media a highly implausible scenario. Critical scholars and laity alike are appalled by this travesty. The Jesus Family Tomb Examined will go a long way toward setting the record

—Craig A. Evans, Ph.D.

Payzant Distinguished Professor

of New Testament at Acadia Divinity College

René López’s work skillfully dismantles point

by point the arguments made by these advocates and shows cogently how Jesus’ tomb continues to remain empty, because He rose physically. I wholeheartedly recommend this work.
