LIVING BY FAITH Really WORKS with Study Guide
The Christian life begins and ends with faith.
Bob Wilkin disagreed with that statement for many years. As a member of a works-oriented religious cult, Bob spent most of his boyhood years working for the perfection that he thought was needed to please God and somehow gain eternal life.
It was not until college that he discovered the grace of God through a campus ministry and was overwhelmed by the simple truth of God's promise, “He who believes in Me has everlasting life.” He understood for the first time that no one can become a Christian or please God in daily life except by faith.
Bob accepted the gift of salvation by placing his faith in Jesus Christ, and experienced a jailbreak from the bondage of works-religion. He knew he must devote his life to telling others about the wonderful grace of God. This book is a part of that devotion.
It is Bob's desire that reading Confident in Christ: Living by Faith Really Works will kindle the passion, love, and gratitude in you that comes from being deeply touched by the wonderful grace of God.
Reviews from the Back Cover
“Confident in Christ is a masterful treatment of the gospel that leaves no stone unturned in bringing clarity to passages that are often misconstrued. In his careful treatment of the Word of God, Dr. Bob Wilkin has provided a treasury of answers to the difficult passages regarding the gospel. This may be one of the most important books you have ever read about the Bible. I passionately recommend it.”

A practical, readable explanation of Bible teaching on faith
A practical, readable exposition of scripture and explanation of difficult and/or often misinterpreted Bible passages relating to faith, works, salvation, and rewards. In these days of confusing teachings and a marked decrease in levels of Christian commitment, this is a timely book.

The best book on the Gospel of Christ I've ever read.
This book shows a true concern for accuracy of doctrine and a desire that as many people as possible share in the glorious good news of the grace of God which is found only in Christ Jesus. The author writes as a man who has struggled with the issues personally and resolved them in a reverent, accurate, and understandable way. Mr. Wilkin is a man with both a first rate education and real-life experience in dealing with the issue of personal salvation. The book is not wordy or inaccessible. It it lucid and organized and betrays a great amount of thought, inquiry, and scholarship. I would not hesitate to recommend this book to anyone. The work is equally suitable for the inquiring unbeliever, the confused or hungry believer, and interested scholars of all persuasions.

A concise guide to the free grace view for thinking laymen
In four major sections [1. Saving Faith; 2. Assurance; 3. Eternal Security; 4. Perseverance] Wilkin addresses the major "problem passages" from the grace perspective. This eminently readable book is written for the layman, but also contains a wealth of preaching and teaching materials. I highly recommend it. In fact, I bought 30 and have given them to all my friends!

“I have just finished reading the book Confident in Christ by Bob Wilkin. . . as believers we should be rejoicing in this splendid work Bob has completed with the Lord's help. The main reason to celebrate I believe is that Bob's interpretation fits the Scriptures like a glove.”
DT from Ohio
“This book is an approachable, thoughtful, Biblically sound analysis of some of the most hard to understand pieces of Scripture, always from a Free Grace perspective. While it champions and defends Free Grace very successfully, it at the same time challenges the Christian to live worthy of his/her calling. The analysis of I John alone is worth the price of the book. I highly recommend it.”

Clarifies what facts you must believe to be saved!
“One of the most necessary books ever written in this day and age of confusion over exactly what one must believe in order to be saved. All the verses covered have solid Biblical support. That's what makes it so great. We pray that thousands will read it and never again doubt their salvation!”
Dale & Diane Boring from Missouri
Wilkin's book is a must read for ANY Christian
“Dr. Wilkin, founder of the Grace Evangelical Society effectively takes on the challenges of unclear gospels. Using the Word of God as the authority, Wilkin shows the weaknesses in many of the arguments presented by some of today's leading theologians. Using many scripture references for each point, Dr. Wilkin doesn't fall into the trap many contemporary authors do when they take a single verse and try to make it say what they want it to. There is no doubt that Wilkin presents a clear gospel that is in accordance with Scripture. Confident in Christ is set up in an easy format making it both excellent reading, and a very important research tool as well. Any Christian who wants to be challenged with Scripture after Scripture truly must read this book.”
Chris Freeland from Oklahoma
“Confident in Christ is a wonderful exposition of the Gospel, faith, assurance, and a consideration of some tough texts of the New Testament. The first chapter is truly a gem and should be required reading for every Bible and seminary student, and Christian. It slices through the confusion surrounding the Gospel today and clearly proclaims God's free gift of eternal life by belief in Christ. His section on assurance is equally great and the analysis not only helps in understanding what true faith is but should help every one become more confident in Christ. There are some wonderful challenges to Christian living toward the end of the book along with a helpful study guide for small group Bible studies or Sunday School classes. In summary Confident in Christ is a wonderful testimony to God's grace showing that man can bring nothing to God to gain eternal life other than belief in Christ. It honors the principle of Romans 11:6. I highly recommend the book.”
